The ultimate product that the participants will be able to do at the end of this workshop is to create and use a twitter account, edublogs, and wikispace for educational purposes. Participants will be taught how to create and use the different technology throughout a semester and then at the end of the semester have a final meeting to evaluate their progress of using the different technology in their actual classrooms.
More technology needs to be incorporated into the classroom in order for students to be competitive in the ever changing workplace. This workplace is not only found in the US, but now the students must be able to compete globally. Students need to know how to use these technologies that will allow them to learn in a collaborative setting via both face-to-face as well as online. Students need to know how to network and create learning communities in which ideas can be shared and further expanded upon.
